Church Road Syrah expressed the warm climate of Hawke's Bay perfectly with ripe plum, cherry and hints of spice. Complexity from it's time in Oak Barrels offers this wine profound texture, body and finesse. Suitable for any occasion and paired with red meats, pastas or to have with your next convivial moment shared with friends or family.
This creamy textured Hawke's Bay Chardonnay is unashamedly just a little bit old school. Ripe peach, tropical fruit and fragrant citrus notes are enhanced by toasty oak, wild fermentation, full malolactic and regular yeast lees string. This approach delivers layers of flavour reminiscent of toasted brioche, roasted hazelnut and sizzle butter.
Grown predominantly on our cooler Matapiro vineyard, this site produces vibrant, flavourful Sauvignon Blanc. Passionfruit, elderflower, grapefruit and herbal undertones are carried on a finely textured palate, enhance with a touch of new French Oak.
Grown on the gravel soils of Hawke's Bay's warmest sub-regions, this is a supple fragrant Merlot dominant blend. A core of rich plum and berry fruit is enhanced by lifted floral nots, hints of thyme and subtle earthy undertones. On the palate the wine is full bodied and fleshy with fine grained tannins, oak maturation has delivered increased depth and complex of cedar, spice and cacao. For quality reasons this wine is unfiltered. Decanting is recommended.
This full-bodied wine is packed with layers of rich berry fruit, cassis and dark cacao notes, along with lifted cedar and thyme aromas. This Cabernet Sauvignon is full and weighty. While impressive now, the powerful yet fine-grained tannin structure ensures great longevity. This wine is unfined and unfiltered to preserve quality. Some precipitate may form with time and decanting is recommended.
The finest free run juice was barrel fermented in predominantly older French oak to produce this finely textured, elegant Chardonnay. Vibrant citrus and stonefruit flavours are overlaid with subtle creamy oak and complexities of toasted hazelnut and brioche.
Grown on gravel soils in Hawke's Bays' warmest sub regions, these vineyards typically produce rich Merlot displaying dense, brooding plum and dark berry fruit. This is complimented by subtle notes of violet, spice, earthy undertones and hints of dark chocolate. The palate is rich, weighty and long, driven by a firm yet fine-grained tannin structure. For quality reasons this wine is unfiltered and decanting is recommended.
Flavours and aromas range from subtle red fruits and stone fruit, through to more lifted floral, guava, gentle herbal notes and flinty, mineral complexity. A finely textured wine with subtle light berry, guava and floral notes complemented with savoury undertones.
A complex array of dense plum and berry fruits with subtle spice and violet-like floral aromas are complimented by savoury, earthy and dark chocolate undertones derived from barrel maturation and a traditional, 'old-world approach' to winemaking. On the palate, the wine is rich and powerful with a backbone of fine, ripe tannins bringing linearity and structure. This is a serious, multidimensional wine.
